Title: Letter from John Nair, Regarding Some Accounts

Author(s): Nair, John

Sir.

I this moment have yours. It was
only on Saturday I got in the different accots
due by [¿] Society, as under. I am happy
they do not amount so high as I imagined.
I feel that I have been to blame
in giving you so much trouble on this ſubject
my reasons you will judge of. It is more
than a twelve month since a considerable
part of the ſubscription to the college was paid me
this money has not been lying by me, and
the fund I looked to, to supply it, I have been
(on account of my fathers death) obliged to
encroach a little upon for the present
nor will it be convenient to replace it
for about a Month or six weeks hence
In this situation I feel a considerable
degree of reluctance in coming foreward
upon the ſubject and could I be indulged

in this delay I would consider it as a very great
favor. I dare hardly ask that this matter
may be kept with yourself, could it be so
it would be agreater obligation still.
I have £35. ods of the ſubscription
for the college in my hands, besides the balance
of the Ordinary funds, and I can say that
about the time I mention I will be ready
to obey your instructions as to both of them

                    I am Sir
                        your most obt. hu. Sert.
